KARIBU!!
("Welcome" in Swahili)
We are so glad you came to learn more about who we are.
Mission Partners Kenya (MPK) actively partners with Friends of Dago to provide a sustainable Child Sponsorship Program. The focus of the sponsorship program is to prepare youth for primary school through an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program. Over 100 children, ages 3-6, are served in the small village of Dago, Kenya (Africa) through this strong partnership.
The sponsorship program began in 2015, in honor and memory of Nancy Woodruff, a woman who loved Dago and the children of Dago. Her heart was for the children and their future, and her legacy still lives on. Our sponsorship program is building momentum and we have over half the students in the program being supported with an active sponsor.
Sponsoring a child in ECD program provides a child a school uniform (including shoes, socks and sweater) along with a backpack, assists with school supplies and teachers' salaries, and most importantly provides the child with two warm meals each day at school. What is even more special about this program is it enables ALL children in the program to receive two warm meals a day. No child is left without proper nourishment. Click on Child Sponsorship Program tab above to learn more about the program and see which children still need a sponsor.
Through our organization, we recently (Spring 2022) initiated an exciting Clean Water Filtration project in Dago.
Click on Clean Water Filtration Project tab above to learn more and how you may become a partner in its success and future growth.
Along with our 10 years of diligently working and partnering to make an impact in Dago, we also, for the past 17 years have been actively working 1 1/2 hours away on a hillside near Ekerenyo - building a library, hospital and now renovating a school.
